MOT
We have 2 full-time DVSA appointed MOT testers who will have your vehicle inspected and back on the road as soon as possible. We also offer free assistance with not only your MOT test, but also expert advice on repairs, servicing and maintenance for your vehicle. The MOT test takes between 40 to 60 minutes and we offer a while you wait service should you wish or alternatively, we can collect your car and return once completed.
Servicing
When servicing vehicles only the best quality OEM specification parts are used to give our customers the best value for money without compromising the quality, We are also very happy to use genuine branded parts if requested to do so if that is our customers preference or to maintain a dealership warranty. We are also users of Auto Data, the industry standard online tool for repair times and vehicle data, so you can be assured that your car is in safe hands. Whether it be from the smallest of repairs to major operations; all our work and parts are guaranteed for the customer’s peace of mind. Service indicators on your car can activate for a variety of repairs which our friendly staff are always happy to explain to you and help you resolve the issue. Car servicing times will vary upon each requirement but are usually finished in the same day. We keep in contact with our customers throughout the process and provide updates on any further repairs which may be required to ensure full satisfaction and no unpleasant surprises.
Air Conditioning
Most manufacturers recommend having your air conditioning recharged or re-gassed every three to four years. This is because the refrigerant, or gas, used in the system is slowly lost overtime at a rate of approximately 10% per year. A significant drop in the pressure of this gas will result in a loss of cooling efficiency. This means that your engine must work harder, and you will use more fuel as a result.
What does an air conditioning recharge involve?
When carrying out an Aircon Recharge, our staff will perform the;
- Check the operation of air conditioning system – visual, temperature, leak checks
- Recovery of refrigerant, evacuation of air and moisture from system
- Inject fresh system lubricant
- Recharge refrigerant to recommended levels
- Add ultra-violet dye to aid future leak detection
In addition to your Aircon Recharge, we offer an Air Con sanitisation service. If you notice a musty or unpleasant smell coming from your cars air conditioning system, this indicates it’s probably time to have your car air conditioning checked, cleaned and sanitized.
Air conditioning systems are prone to a build-up of bacteria. Condensation gathers on the evaporator coils and this combined with the warm temperatures of the engine provides an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. Therefore, the unpleasant smells coming from your air conditioning system will be down to mould, fungi, and micro-organisms growing behind your car’s dashboard.
Welding
Our team here at M&M Motors have a long history in welding and metalwork. We are very experienced when it comes to metal repairs, welding and fabrication. If you’re looking to have anything from an MOT failure, rust repair or up to a complete sill we can help you.

Courtesy Cars
We understand the inconvenience of having your car stuck in the garage even for a day, it can be very frustrating, to say the least. That is why we supply courtesy cars /vans for any customers requiring one whose vehicle is undergoing repairs or testing in our garage. All our courtesy vehicles are free but must be insured by the driver themselves.
Diagnostics
Most modern vehicles today contain an on-board computer, the Engine Control Unit (ECU), which monitors the performance and general electronics of your vehicle. Many sensors are located around your vehicle and all feed data back to the ECU that diagnoses faults as they occur. This then triggers your car’s dashboard warning lights, some of which require, an instant visit to a garage.
At M&M Motors we use state-of-the-art equipment to plug-in to your vehicle and diagnose the faults detected by your vehicle’s ECU. Our experienced technicians can then suggest a suitable course of action to correct any errors detected in your vehicle to get you back on the road and warning light free.
Clutch Replacement
The clutch and clutch components are essential to the safety of your vehicle – if they start to fail, not only can they impair the car’s performance, but this may also result in your car letting you down at the most inconvenient time.
When should I replace my clutch?
- Stays idle when you put it in gear, and the car doesn’t move

Brakes

DPF Regeneration
A DPF is a device in diesel fuelled vehicles which is designed to reduce the vehicle’s harmful emissions. The filter traps the particulate matter and once it’s saturated, the vehicle turns the matter into ash through the process of regeneration. The natural regeneration of DPFs occurs on long journeys once the filter hits a certain temperature. If your diesel vehicle experiences problems or never quite reaches the temperature, it can result in the DPF system becoming blocked and unable to regenerate naturally. By using our equipment at M&M Motors, we can communicate with your cars ECU and start the natural regeneration process in the garage and clearing the DPF filter.
